Arkansas Highway 25: Conway to Wooster

Take a short but scenic drive through central Arkansas as we head north on Arkansas Highway 25 from Conway to Wooster—a 6-mile stretch that blends suburban development, lake views, and quiet countryside charm. This segment offers a brief but rewarding journey that’s especially ideal for local explorers or travelers navigating to the Ozarks from Interstate 40.

Our route kicks off just northwest of downtown Conway at the interchange with Interstate 40 (Exit 125). This area is a well-trafficked gateway for both commuters and regional travelers. Immediately after exiting the interstate, AR-25 begins its northerly route through the northern outskirts of Conway. Despite its proximity to Conway’s city center, this area quickly transitions into a more rural environment.

As we continue north, AR-25 gently curves westward along the edge of Beaverfork Lake, one of Conway’s most popular recreational areas. While the highway doesn’t directly hug the shoreline, travelers can easily access the lake via Beaverfork Park Road. The lake itself offers a pleasant detour with opportunities for boating, fishing, or simply enjoying a picnic by the water. It’s a peaceful place to stretch your legs if you’re on a longer drive.

Just beyond the lake, the road straightens and heads due north through a landscape that alternates between open fields and patches of wooded terrain. You’ll pass small farms and rural homesteads that highlight the agricultural roots of Faulkner County. The quiet setting and light traffic make this a smooth, pleasant drive—especially during sunrise or sunset when the surrounding fields catch the light just right.

As you approach the small town of Wooster, the atmosphere shifts subtly. You’ll see more homes and a few local businesses come into view. The town is modest in size but serves as an important junction for travelers heading deeper into the countryside. AR-25 ends its northbound segment here at the intersection with Arkansas Highway 285, which offers access west to Shady Grove and north toward Martinville.
